Description:

Oh no! Is it the end of the year already – and I still have all these unfinished projects?! Was I really trying to finish these by the end of the year? What was I thinking?

No matter where you are in your process, this 4-day, 3-night “Open Sew/UFO Retreat” is for you! This is a great time to motivate each other to finish some of these UFO’s or start something new. Maybe you picked out your pattern, gathered your fabric, your rulers, and maybe even started cutting. Maybe you attended a class taught by one of our certified Instructors and bought one of Deb Tucker’s tools – but just can’t remember how to use it. It happens to the best of us.

For this retreat, choose any pattern that uses one or more of the Studio 180 Design tools. The patterns here are only a few examples of Deb’s patterns. If you’re not currently working on a pattern, there are a lot out there, written by a number of Studio 180 Certified Instructors. Your pattern may be by any designer as long as it uses the Tucker trim-down tools. You may be making your units larger or smaller than the original pattern, or even changing the pattern a bit. That’s okay too. They don’t have to be big projects either. Maybe you want to make a couple of small, quilted things for gifts, or maybe you just want to learn a few of the rulers or technique sheets in reparation or working on something else later?

Your own personal Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor will be right there with you every step of the way. I’ll be there for support and encouragement, offering various tips and tricks, helping you with what you’re in the middle of, or want to learn. What a great way to end the year and welcome 2025 with a little added motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm! Happy New Year!

Class Requirements: Your choice of one or more quilt patterns that use one or more Studio 180 Design tools.

Studio 180 Design tools, patterns and technique sheets are available at your local quilt shop, at Deb Tucker&#39’s Studio 180 Design (deb-tuckers-studio-180-design.myshopify.com), or from the instructor, in class or by mail. A Strong House Retreat discount is available on over $35.

About Tracy O’Donnell

Trained as a High School English teacher, I’ve been teaching beginner to advanced-level quilting classes and retreats in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York. Because there are often several rulers and skills to learn, I prefer 3–4-day classes or retreats, considering it takes more than one day to feel comfortable with something new. I want you to be able to go on to continue your quilting adventures once you return home, confident and energized.

As a bonus, once you start to see things through the Deb Tucker lens, you might find yourself “Tuckerizing” everything that comes your way!
