Smoking: No smoking policy except outside.
Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages are regulated by the state Liquor Board. As a licensee, the Inn is responsible for the administration of these regulations. Vermont State law prohibits the consumption of any alcoholic beverages (not purchased at the Inn) in the Inn’s common areas including the grounds and gardens.
Additional Guests: A third or fourth person may be accommodated in some rooms for an additional charge of $25.00 each.
Deposit: All reservations must be secured by a deposit equal to the room rate plus applicable tax for one night or 50%, whichever is higher.
Reservation Policy: Two-night reservations are requested for some weekends and peak foliage season, three nights for certain event weekends.
Credit Cards: We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.
Cancelation Policy: As a small country inn, our business depends on advance reservations, and cancellations can be costly. Room deposits are fully refundable if we receive cancellation notice up to fourteen days prior to your scheduled arrival minus a $25.00 Administrative Fee per room cancelled. Reservations cancelled with less than fourteen days’ notice will result in the loss of your advance deposit. Cancellations received seven days or less will be responsible for the full balance of the reservation. We will do our best to re-book the rooms on your behalf to lessen your responsibility. Guests arriving later or departing earlier than their confirmed dates will be responsible for all of the original room nights booked.
We cannot make exceptions for weather or personal emergencies. We recommend that you consider purchasing trip insurance, should you have concerns.
Please note: A 30-day cancellation notice is required on major holidays and fall foliage (September 15 – October 31). 60-day cancellation notice for groups.
Forgotten Items: Items left behind at the Inn can be sent to you by US mail at your request. The cost of shipping (rounded to the next whole dollar) + a $5 handling and packaging fee will be billed to your credit card.
All rates are for single or double occupancy per night, and include a full country breakfast and afternoon refreshment.
Vermont rooms and meals tax of 9% is added to your bill at checkout.
We are very happy to be able to accept dogs on a limited basis; however, we have some guidelines for you to follow so you can bring your favorite buddy!
Advance reservations by phone are required. 802-877-3337. Based on dog friendly rooms available (Windsor and Somerset).
- Please be sure your dog is leashed when outside your guest room.
- Please do not leave your dog unattended in the room, unless in a crate and not barking.
- We know that you will agree that dogs do not belong on our beds or furniture. While housekeeping staff is very thorough, microscopic dog dander can cause irritation to other guests with allergies.
- Dog owners are responsible for removing dog waste and disposing in proper receptacles.
- Damages from dogs are the responsibility of the owner.
