Vergennes Laundry Wood Fired Bakery, located in a former Laundromat, bakes the best butter-rich French-style biscotti with hazelnuts and figs, croissants, hot cross buns, cannelés (small Bundt cake-shaped desserts that take three days to complete), and savory pies and tarts. When you need an extra lift, order an espresso to compliment your treat.
The Bar Antidote is an unexpected, welcoming restaurant and cocktail lounge. The pub offers a variety of burgers, fish and chips and homemade desserts. A favorite is the Pig Mac – pork burger topped with house-cured bacon, pork belly, tobacco onions and BBQ sauce.
