Quilting/Crafting Retreats for private groups
Attention Quilt Guilds and Crafters: This spectacular weekend is for you.
This modestly priced weekend package is designed to bring your group to the Strong House Inn and experience an extraordinary weekend of quilting or crafting. Our spacious Quilt Room offers cutting stations, ironing stations, excellent natural lighting and night lighting for those all-night sewing/crafting marathons. Minimum 8 participants/maximum 20 participants. Mid-week dates are also available. Call to reserve your date.

Nature Walks
Would you like to experience Vermont's natural beauty? You can book at the Strong House Inn and reserve a private field trip with a naturalist. Sue Whetmore, an expert on birds, wild flowers and everything that lives in the forest, will take you on some very special walks, identifying birds, foliage and other Vermont wildlife. Reservation required. Half Day - $60, Full Day - $120.
Auto Touring
Take the back roads of Vermont where tourist never go. The Strong House Inn has four different Auto-Touring self-guided packages. Experience Vermont's beauty right from your car. Choose one of the following: Vermont Covered Bridges Tour, Green Mountain Tour, Lake Champlain Tour or the Independence Tour. Tour packages includes detailed directions to all attractions, distance to turns, cumulativie miles, maps and snacks. Navigator required. Non-stop driving times range from three to four hours. $25.00
Mother's Day Tea - Mother's Day to May 9th, 2010 (Sunday)
Bring your mother to this very special event held at the Strong House Inn. Experience a four course English Tea at 1:00 p.m. and tour the Inn. Reservation Required. $22.00 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
SPECIAL PACKAGES
Vermont School of Cooking for Young Ladies and Vermont School of Cooking for Young Men
Mary Bargiel, owner of the Strong House Inn brings 30 plus years of cooking and entertaining experience. She will be offering private group cooking classes to young adults. These classes will provide education and inspiration to young adults in the world of basic cooking, entertaining and etiquette. Our goal is to provide clear instruction along with hands-on experience to small groups that will allow our students to achieve easy, tasty meals and techniques that they can incorporate in their home. In each cooking class, students will learn a variety of cooking methods for the dishes, set the table appropriately according to the meal's theme, and engage in dining etiquette while tasting their creations. Classes are tailored to young adults ages 14 and up. Class time runs approx. 2 - 2-1/2 hours. Class theme can be Breakfast Variety, Soups and Salads, Desserts or Appetizer Party. Call to book your group. Instructions, recipes and ingredients will be provided, so gather some friends and call today to schedule your class. Cost is $240 per class, for one to four students.
