ANTIQUES:  There is no other easier way to go antiqueing than through your getaway at the Strong House Inn.  Vergennes has its own renowned antique and reproduction manufacturing establishment in town.  And conveniently suited for easy hops from one shop to another, you will find our Antique row both adventurous and entertaining. SPORTS:  You sports enthusiasts will be in winter wonderland with many notable ski resorts and lodges within easy driving from your room. And our Vermont playground offers adventurous sporting activity of all kind year around.  From ballooning and parasailing to canoeing and horseback riding your adventures will be breathtaking. EXCURSIONS:  While you're here you are going to want to consider one or more of the many relaxing discovery excursions available to you.  Take a dinner cruise across Lake Champlain, or ferry, the rail excursion to Sugarbush, visit Fort Ticonderoga, or enjoy a scenic Glider ride over the Mad River Valley and some of the highest mountain tops in Vermont. LOCAL: There's more activities than you could ever imagine just a skip and a hop from the Inn.  Local events abound with literally dozens of museums and historic attractions to see, concerts and festivals to attend, and enough historical attractions to ensure your stay is one of your most memorable vacations. TOURS: When we say tours we mean it in a very broad sense Sure, we've got your horse and surrey tours, hiking trails and tours through the hills and water falls, foliage tours, and group museum outings, ... but we also host specialty car tours and bike tours.  Just staying at the Inn can be an adventure. All of these events occur year around so you'll want to check with the FRONT DESK or talk to the Innkeeper to determine what is available, and which events are occurring during your next visit to the Inn.
